Choosing what type of auto insurance coverage you need is often a hard task. What makes it hard for most people, is that they can’t tell the difference from one type of coverage to another. This becomes a problem, especially if you end up choosing the wrong kind of coverage for what you need. Here are three typical auto insurance you need to take note of in making your decision. Collision Coverage
As the name suggests, this form of insurance covers cases of traffic accidents and collisions, regardless of who was at fault. The best part of this type of coverage is that it covers most types of repairs your car needs because of the accidents. Some collision coverage also includes protection from property damage, resulting from collisions with buildings, trees, among others. Excellent collision coverage also includes a replacement provision, where your insurance company replaces your entire vehicle. However, this only applies when your car is deemed destroyed, in which case your insurer can replace it with a vehicle of the same market value. Comprehensive Coverage Unlike collision coverage insurance, full coverage insures you in cases where your car gets stolen or damaged by natural events. It covers everything which is not collision-related, such as fire, falling objects, theft, vandalism, among others. When your car encounters any of those problems, your insurer may reimburse yours for the amount you’ve lost. Liability Coverage Liability coverage is often considered as the minimum type of coverage you’ll need as a driver. This type of coverage aims to protect you, any passenger, and the driver, in case there’s an accident. Whether the accident was your fault, your insurer will cover any medical expenses, loss of wage, among others, resulting from the injuries and damages suffered because of the accident. Your car needs to be insured, mainly because it’s a significant investment on your part. Don’t forget to provide it with the proper insurance to protect it against any damage or claims. The next time you’re about to choose your auto car insurance, remember the three common types. This will help you make an informed decision, ensuring that you get the right kind of protection you need. I appreciated it when you shared that it is great to acquire collision coverage that can covers cases of traffic accidents and collisions, regardless of who was at fault. My friend just mentioned the other day that she is planning to get a new car next month as he wants to use it to go to work. I will suggest to her getting auto insurance that offers collision coverage in case of any unwanted circumstances.

Thank you for explaining the different kinds of insurance. My husband and I have been talking about helping our son get his own auto insurance for college. We'll be sure to go over these with him.
